Paul Salasznyk is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Emprata, LLC. Paul leads the analytics services efforts at the firm, where he applies advanced analytical methods and advocates data-driven decision making. He also works with the development team to incorporate analytics into Emprata’s products – enabling customers to unlock vital insights from their data.
Paul is a data scientist with extensive experience solving complex, multifaceted problems of national significance and scope using a variety of sophisticated tools and techniques. Paul specializes in data mining, statistical analysis, predictive analytics, econometrics, mathematical modeling, optimization, simulation analysis, and creating meaningful visualizations of data. For over a decade, he has participated in large projects in the transportation, defense, health and telecommunications industries, among others, including those involving large datasets.
A Project Management Institute (PMI) credentialed manager, Paul is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and holds a B.S. in Industrial and Management Engineering (’03), M.E. in Operations Research and Statistics (’05), and a Ph.D. in Decision Sciences and Engineering Systems (’08). He is a published researcher and an active member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS).
